A view on Split

After taking a city trip to Split, I came away with an enormous amount of inspiration.

I stayed in a hotel right in the heart of this overwhelming city. From the moment I arrived, I was filled with a sense of wonder.

I admired the historic old town, where many buildings still remained in their original, centuries-old condition, although they were, of course, carefully maintained. The historic centre itself has remained remarkably intact.

As I wandered through the maze of old houses, built haphazardly over the centuries, I found endless inspiration.

This drawing focuses on a small section of the historic old town. It is only a tiny fragment, yet one that you can continue to discover time and time again.

For me personally, it is one of the most beautiful and remarkable places I have ever had the privilege to visit.
