Waterwheel

France, Belgium, and parts of South Limburg are among my greatest sources of inspiration. Based on these influences, I created an entirely imaginary scene on paper. It depicts a traditional old building with a waterwheel, surrounded by lush greenery. I can endlessly lose myself in these fantasies and soon imagine myself wandering through this fictional landscape. Filled with admiration, I take in the breathtaking scenery with its many old half-timbered houses. I have sought to capture that atmosphere strongly in this artwork.
